Hope & Healing Following Suicide

Supporting those who have suffered the loss of a loved one due to suicide
grief is the beginning of healing.
No one should have to experience the death of a loved one to suicide, and yet, many do. This is why St. Benedict’s offers a structured, five-week closed group led by two facilitators, at least one of whom is a survivor themselves. The group is appropriate for ages 19 and older. The class size is limited to 10 participants. After the first two meetings, the group will close to new participants.

Our care team members have firsthand, personal experience in having lost someone to suicide. The grief of losing a loved one to suicide is an intense feeling that is often hard to describe to someone that has not survived a suicide. Often friends and family do not understand how painful a suicide loss can be. No one should have to experience the death of a loved one to suicide, but we have. Anyone who has suffered a loss due to suicide may attend.
