A Little About Me.

I was born and raised in the Dallas area. I met my wife Shannon at a church youth group. We have been happily married for 34 years. Together we have four young adult children and one son-in-law — all are baptized Christians. Over the years the Lord has sent us to serve the gospel and his people in different states on both sides of the US-Mexico border. I have served as a minister and missionary in cross-cultural contexts for more than three decades. I was ordained a priest in August 2025.

Like a hobbit, I enjoy simple things in life: home with family, conversation with friends, good Mexican food, strong coffee, mountains and streams, old books and good stories, sketching and painting, and football. Above all else, I want for my family and friends what I want for myself: to love and worship God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit at his Altar-Table – and to enjoy face to face communion with Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

My heart's desire is to lead others to participate in the worship and mission of God in this life in preparation for the life to come.

Little-known facts about me: Once upon a time I went noodling in a river for catfish and participated in a donkey basketball game in Oklahoma. I announced high school football games in Louisiana. I came face to face with a mountain lion while hiking in Colorado. I was accidentally detained with a dozen undocumented aliens by Immigration Agents in Mexico.

I’m Asking For Your Support.

The Diocese of Mid-America will graciously provide $30,000 towards my annual support. My goal is to raise an additional $40,000 to cover our family's basic needs:

  • Household – Mortgage, Utilities, etc.

  • Ministry – Coffees, meals, office supplies, books.

  • Seminary – Tuition and Books.

Since no man is an island, and no one can preach unless they are sent, I invite you from the heart to participate in this priestly ministry with me in two ways:

  • First, Spiritually: I need your daily prayers, because without them, I can do nothing. Like you, I need the power and wisdom of the Spirit.

  • Second, Materially: I need your monetary support, because with such sacrifices, God is pleased.

Participate In This Priestly Ministry.

Participate in my priestly ministry by committing to a monthly recurring gift or by providing a one-time donation

Please select ‘Curacy’ in the dropdown Fund menu.

No gift is too small. All gifts are significant.

Remember: Jesus celebrated the widow’s gift of two pennies because she offered it all to God from the heart. Paul celebrated those who gave out of their own poverty because they gave themselves first to God. Grace makes us generous.

All gifts and donations for this priestly ministry are tax-deductible and managed by St Benedict's Anglican Church.
